Hey GMCers, welcome to my new lesson in the style of AC/DC band.
This is my attempt to capture some of that magic that AC/DC is all about. Rocking grooves, punchy bass lines, great instantly recognizable vocals and of course - guitars! :)
ACDC is mostly famous by it's vocals, but guitars play a very important part of it's sound as well. Humbucker pickups plugged into walls of Marshalls has become not only the trademark of this band, but a trademark of whole rock&roll!
Guitar riffs are catchy and mostly involve octave, fifth, and major third notes in them, as we will check out in the lesson.
This lesson is divided into 2 section. In the first one we will cover the rhythm part, consisting out of 3 nice riffs in the style of ACDC. In the second part we will do some solo work in the style of Angus Young.
If you have a Gearbox software, go online to Tone Library and choose some of the Angus's singature sounds, this is what I used for this lesson.
If you don't own this software, try some sort of combinations with Marshall drive, until you are satisfied with results.
This lesson contains:
- ACDC style guitar
- rhythm part
- solo part
