Hi, Piotr here. Welcome to my second lesson. This time we will focus on chords and arpeggios. As we know, in music - arpeggios are chords taken in pieces.
A good way of practicing arpeggios is "Arpeggio Etude". I wrote it once by myself to make arpeggio exercises more pleasant.
The first part is based on A-major and E-major chords. We will play this part with alternate picking. Picking must be precise and slow to get the best results.
In the second part we have a bit of sweep picking on chords F#minor, B-major, C#major.
The last part is a coda, written for right hand relaxation. Here we have tapping in moderate tempo based on pretty fast riff which I show in the 5 th video.
We are going to use:
- triplets,
- alternate picking,
- sweep picking,
- vibrato,
- tapping
This is the preset I used for the POD XT live for this lesson:
Amp: Bomber Uber - Drive 7 - Bass 5 - Middle 7 - Treble 5 - Presence 8
Cab: 4x12 2001 Line 6
Dis: Classic distortion - gain 3
Com: Threshold 10 - Gain 10
Dly: Delay Time - 178 (Quarter note) - Mix 35%
Rev: Slap Plate - 35%
The lesson is available in the guitar pro 5 file, mp3 backing track included.
I hope You'll enjoy it.
Piotr
