One of the coolest things you can do on a seven strings guitar, is to play long three-octave arpeggios runs. Coupled with sweep picking, the effect is a never-ending cascade of notes, that surely will turn some heads!
IMPORTANT
People that doesn't own a seven string guitar can also practice this lesson, simply playing a two octave shape arpeggio, starting from the fifth string, enjoy.

The musical study, starts at the 5th fret seventh string with the E major 7 arpeggio and goes diatonic up to the 17th fret harmonizing all the E major scale with the following arpeggios:
E major 7
F# minor 7
G# minor 7
A major 7
B dominant 7
C# minor 7
D# half-diminished (7)

Diatonic means that all the notes come from the scale, in this case E major, and harmonizing each degree, we have always the same kind of chords:
Imaj7 - IIm7 - IIIm7 - IVmaj7 - V7 - VIm7 - VIIm7/b5 (Half-diminished)

Sweep/economy Picking, involves a picking motion from the wrist, sliding on string in the same direction, without re-pick any notes.
