The first Bach lesson. Bach is one of the greatest composers, ever! Although Bach never wrote a piece for the guitar, there are tons of his pieces that sound great on the guitar.
In this lesson I would like to pick up Bourree from a suite he wrote for the lute, an ancestor of the guitar. The entire piece is written in two parts, the upper voice and the lower voice. That is, two different melodies are going on at the same time. This is called counter point.
Here is the first half of the piece. I will pick up the last half in the next lesson.
